I lost 2 pounds in each!

So, on Monday I had my breast reduction surgery. I was so incredibly nervous about the procedure that they almost had to medicate me in the waiting room, but I have had oversized, pendulous breasts for 15 years and I was not going to put it off any further. My doctor said that each of my boobs weighed about 4 pounds. He removed two pounds in each breast so I went from a DDD to a C cup.

In the recovery room, I cried with joy. Immediately, I was able to stand up taller. I bought some cute, soft pajamas before surgery (before surgery one boob wouldn’t fit in these p.j.s) and they fit perfectly now plus I do not HAVE to wear a bra anymore! I have been wearing a bra since I was 12 and I have never found a strapless bra or a halter top bra so I was always so limited with my tops. Anyway, I love the results!

I anticipated recovery taking several weeks but by Wednesday, I was feeling great. I still get incredibly tired after standing for 10 minutes, but  it is improving every day. I can’t wait to be able to work out. I am so motivated every time I look in the mirror to lose this excess weight so I look proportioned.

This is the best thing I have ever done!

Update

Hey everyone! It has been an interesting few weeks.

I was suppose to have my breast reduction surgery on monday the 13th, but there was a scheduling problem. I have been on standby, but suddenly today I was told that I will be having surgery on Monday the 20th. It is very exciting.

I feel like this is the beginning of my new life. I am going to start with weight watchers because of the accountability. I tend to get all hyped up and motivated one day and totally forget the next day.

Much love to all of you!

That is all for now.

This week’s goals: Stay Inspired!

Last night I was reading a buddy’s blog and she challenged herself to walking a mile a day for a week and then adding a mile each following week. That was very inspiring for me! I walk my dogs every day for a mile or two, but have never thought to challenge myself with additional mileage- and I love to walk! So my goal for the week is……. (drumroll)…….. to walk 3 consecutive miles a day and to eat healthy. The hard part for me  is not the three miles, instead it is being consistent and walking even when I do not want to. That is why I need you guy!!! To stay inspired!

I am sooooo excited! I have wanted a breast reduction (size 38DDD) since I was 16 years old. And it is going to happen on October 9th.

In the past, I have often lost motivation for losing weight due to the fact that I don’t like my breast size and losing weight just makes my large breast size more apparent. I am so happy that soon I will be a 38C and I will be able to jog and exercise more.

I would like to find a protein powder that can be used as a meal replacement for dinner, since I will not be able to exercise for several weeks after surgery. Do you guys know of any good ones? I would like one high in protein of course, but I get headaches with aspertine.

Any other calorie advise?
